Hurry Up Already! (I’ve got the bug.)
I’ve got the travel bug…the warm water surf, international travel bug.
I want to be on an extended warm water surf vacation NOW!
“[whining] I want an Oompa Loompa now! “
I want a party with roomfuls of laughter, / Ten thousand tons of ice cream, / And if I don’t get the things I am after, / I’m going to screeeeeeeeeEEEEEEEEAM.
It’s time for another walkabout, well kinda. I’m so grateful I get to travel across the Americas with my love monkey. Talk about the trip of a lifetime. (Is this really my life??!!) I know I’ll always travel, but one day in the not too distant future hopefully I’ll have a family which definitely adds another element to traveling.
In November 2012 I was going to go live in Nicaragua for a month or two and figure out my next move. That went right out the window when I met my match and jumped on board with his plans to go to Brazil for 5 months which has now turned into backpacking across Latin America for 4 plus months. Awesome!
For better or for worse, I am quick to make decisions. ACT NOW! “He who hesitates, …” wait how does that saying go? While plans are subject to change, I get bored in the preparation phase. I don’t need months or weeks to prepare. If there is something I want to do, I figure out the quickest way to make it happen.
Right now our one way plane tickets are for the first week in February, which seems like a million years from now. Let’s get on with it. I know preparing is important, but I am awesome at procrastinating and seem to get more done when I have less time (like a lot of people I know).
I’ve been watching Univision and brushing up on my Spanish for Surfers. I can obsessively look at travel guides and websites for only so long. I am starting to lose my mind!!
There is a chance that our Latin American excursion may move up a few weeks (fingers crossed). This time next week I could we surfing in 75 plus degree water and drinking cold cerveza in another country. (Please send positive travel vibes.)
P.S. Please tell me your favorite place in Mexico, Central America or South America and WHY. Muchas Gracias!

Buzios, Brazil! So romantic!!
Thanks, Caroline! Sounds amazing. xoxo
