This is just a random post because it’s been almost a year since I’ve touched this blog.  The theme of my life this last month is the passion of pursuit (thus the Roald Dahl quote above).

Here’s a quick recap of my 2014 so far.

I went to live on a farm in Portland in January.  It was cold as hell so I came back to SoCal for a few days.

I drove to Texas and was quickly reminded why I live in Southern California.  I got a J-O-B, tried my best to be “normal” and it didn’t work out.

I drove to La Jolla, CA from Dallas straight.  It’s amazing what coffee, the right playlists and eating sunflower seeds can do to keep you awake.  I’ve been living with and running a business with my sis, and our intern, Bubba who happens to be her dog.  He’s pretty much the cutest dog of all time and the worst intern ever.

I got on Tinder (mostly for entertainment value) and can’t seem to get off of it.  It kinda reminds me of when I got addicted to Tetris as a child.  My favorite is when I come across friends and feel the need to swipe right and send creepy messages.  Here is one of my favorite profiles to date:

I’ve been writing every day (obviously not on the blog), which feeds my soul and stokes that fire of the passion of pursuit.

So that pretty much sums it all up until present day.  The water is still warm in San Diego and we have another heat wave…so it’s still summer to me. 🙂

I’ve been rereading the Alchemist (one of my favorite books of all time), so I’ll leave you with this quote:

“It’s the possibility of having a dream come true that makes life interesting.”
