For the Love of Music…My Life As A Mix Tape

Yes, I am a child of the 80s so mix tapes hold a special place in my heart before the era of CD burning and iTunes playlists.

**I don’t know what compelled me to write this, but I found this in my saved drafts from last year and thought it was pretty funny.  I would definitely change some of these now, but at the time, I guess the soundtrack to my life would have been as follows:

Another Brick in the Wall Part 2 by Pink Floyd

Buick City Complex by the Old 97’s

It’s My Life by Talk Talk

Stoned by the Old 97’s

“I wrote a letter to God.  Dear Sir, I’m dissatisfied…”

It Aint Me Babe by Johnny Cash and June Carter

Wish the Worst by the Old 97s

Smile by Lilly Allen

New Shoes by Paolo Nutini

Around the World by Daft Punk

Someone Great by LCD Soundsystem

With a Little Help from My Friends by The Beatles

Good for Great by Matt & Kim

Wake Up by The Arcade Fire

Let it Be by the Beatles

Temptation by New Order

As a music fanatic, I am dying to know, what songs would make up your life mix tape?
